The Story : Mappillai Movie is a remake of Super Star Rajini Blockbuster Mapillai. Mappillai is all about the tiffs between the hero and his mother-in-law. The hero(dhanush) will fall in love with the heroine(hansika motwani) and will marry her against the wish of the heroine’s mom(Manisha Koirala).

Then a cold-war starts between the mom in-law and the son-in-law and who wins the fight is ‘Mappillai’. Vivek handles the comedy part of the movie, music by Manisharma & movie directed by Suraj.

Remaking a yesteryear film is always a risky job, as the audience likes to compare the movies. Adding to that if a director chooses a superstar's film, he should be confident that the actor chosen for the latest version should be acceptable face and should have the mass appeal. dhanush is trying to reach rajini's place
easily,by using his old movie names for
eg:padikathavan,maapilai
etc...ajith,vijay,surya,vikram if they reamake
rajini,s film they have the crossed more than 25
movies and they are in a
standard...dhanush,simbu,lawrence(dance
master),sundar.c(director)..they are just
begineers...trying to immitate rajni his bodfy
manarism,his styles etc...so plz...try try to
avoid dis has a fan am giving u dis comment...it
doesnt reach the audience...!!!
