Aashiq Abu who has come with the family oriented Daddy Cool with Mammootty as the coolest daddy has met with mixed response from the audiences. While some may like to languish, the rest feel that it has gone a way too overboard. Mammootty has of late been trying to woo those audiences, children for whom innocence is the hallmark.

frankly speaking movie is not upto the mark.
Mamootty looking cool and handsome. bUT the
problem is there no story to convey...1st half is
watchable. but 2nd half below avg. Nevertheless
hats off to Mamootty for maintaing his glamour..

This movie is one of the best released in 2009 way
better than ee pattanathil bootham and 2 harihar
nagar. Mammootty looks cool throughout the
movie and performed really welll. A must watch

daddy1 The movie starts with Mammootty’s
son’s birthday party along with the song
“Daddy Cool”. Mammootty is introduced in a
very stylish way which all his fans would
love. The movie is a father-son story along with
a police story in the background. Mammootty plays
the role of Antony Simon, the CI of crime branch
with Sai kumar, Vijaya Raghavan, Biju Menon, Babu
Raj as his colleagues.The police story continues
with Mammootty’s unsuccessful attempt in
capturing Bheeb Bhai, played by Ashish Vidyarthi.
This causes him to get a suspension. The movie
has Richa Pallod in the lead role of
Annie.Mammootty’s son Dhananjay did a good job.
Mammootty gets his job back by helping cricketer
Sreekanth to be saved from a few villains. In the
second half a simple twist occurs and a climax
which is the best part of the movie. Mammootty was
glamorous and performed well with his power full
acting as always. The direction and script were
very good. The cinematography of the movie was
good. OVERALL RATING : 4/5
