Jai hai, Jai hai, ….Jai ho, Remember when India
got Miss India , Miss World titles, one after
another few years back. Suddenly Indian feminism
appeared to find its definition, style and
expression. And with this, international
cosmetic and fashion brands got a huge market for
their products in India! Now in time of
recession, world just need hope. And who will give
that. Of course it is ‘Slumdog Millionaire’.
Hollywood will find a huge market with English
knowing people for their products. We have very
good number of Multiplexes! And hope this will
help them in the time of recession. Now they will
have an opportunity for movie production out
sourcing . India has the maximum number of slums
for cast, crew and location. With good number of
English knowing people and multiplexes, it will be
all win win situation. I hope now every Indian
will have a level playing field through MPOs
(Movie Production Outsourcing) centers which will
be mushroomed in and around every slum like

Fully agree. Who is jagjit? Why give him
importance? He is now ancient and we should look
at the new talent and that too someone like
Rahman. Such a humble and talented man who has
brought glory to our nation. You will have many
Jagjits come and go but only one A R Rahman who
will be remembered for ever.

What can Jagjit do? Only sing Ghazals!! He can
never match A R Rahman in talent. Rahman can not
only compose music for all tastes and likes but
also sing well. His music is so very original and
different. He does not copy music and has given
some soulful tunes. I think jagjit needs to learn
how to appreciate music and recognise great
talent.His spweing venom on Rahman does not make
any difference. He is an aging old senile man.Best
to forget and let him mourn in peace.To say
something about a man so humble is down right
uncouth and shows his class. Three cheers for A R

What's the point in taking Rehman and Anil to
court over the films's name.. and I dunno whether
this is being disrespectful but I find it weird
that India has a Slum Dweller's Association.
Whaa..? When did it get created? What are the
objectives of setting it up? I'm sorry but I
seriously dun get it.

I think its great, that this movie is causing such
a stir, if its the only way the problems of the
slum's get recognised then so be it. None of us
are ever going to help these people. I mean if
kids who acted in this movie are going from the
slums to the Oscars and some way to a better
future, then i think the movie is done its job.

Rehman is leading the decline of music in movies.
Ordinary music, forgettable music, poor shelf
life, missing ageless beauty and poetry by miles.
Who would be humming these tunes a year from now?
It is so pedestrian and ordinary. I think Jagjit
singh has nailed it. Its a bitter truth.

I don't understand what all the fuss is about the
film. Yes it’s an ok film, but I don’t know
why it’s been nominated for so many awards.
I’ve seen far better Bollywood films over the
years which didn’t get nominated for Oscars
purely because they were classed as foreign films.
I think it’s absolutely ridiculous that “have
approached the State and the National Human Rights
Commission for necessary action to be taken
against Rahman and Anil Kapoor”, I’m fairly
sure neither Rahman nor Kapoor had a hand in
giving the film a name. Films like this can only
get India more noticed in the international market
and I feel that it opens up more non-Indians to
watch Bollywood films, I know several people
who’ve already asked my advice about good Hindi
films to watch as I said I wasn’t impressed
enough with SM to understand why everyone was
raving about it!
